This site is not designed to be a “what am I doing” site. Most often I sit on my hands and take long term positions based on macroeconomic trends and geopolitical events. I’ve warned you that there are times, when appropriate to trade; by my own rules. It’s time to do just that. By the way, I’m long the Yen and Gold more than before, hold the same long position as before on the TLT, looking further out on Natural Gas, I’m still short the Russell, have no real idea where the “market” is going otherwise and really don’t care. I’ll sit with my short puts expiring on DIS and PYPL or if they fall in price I’ll be happy to own them. So where do you stand?

I’m posting this week because of you. Lots going on, eh? Hope you are watching; more so I hope you’re reacting to the overall fear other people express, you know “sell when they buy” and “buy when they sell”. You don’t get chances like this all that often. Take advantage of them and if nothing else learn from them. That’s what every good trader does as they grow up; they listen, watch and learn. Maybe it’s time you gave it a try.

What’s transpiring in the Middle East is mind boggling. No one has the answers but it is obvious that Hamas and Hezbollah are not acting alone. As a Saudi Arabian world turns a more concrete solution will arise. The macroeconomic world is centered on a different posture; the problems created to be ameliorated are inherent and they are here to stay. The geopolitical arena is in a state of flux and will undoubtedly cause the “powers that be” to make “numerous decisions” over the coming days and weeks that will create further market turbulence. Take advantage of the change and react.

The publisher suggests the infamous book, “The Ticker’s Bible” will hit the press on Halloween if not sooner; sounds spooky to me. I’m happy to post freely weekly. I’ll be asking for a small “donation” over the weekends when I present more than what I am currently doing. It’s busy now but. there are times when “boring” takes over. There’s a lot in my head that I wish I can put into yours. There’s even more information that our other contemporaries have to offer and I’ll do my best to include that as well.

I’ll do my best to remain abreast of “what’s happening” and you should too. The basic health and welfare of the hostages is imperative. What happens afterwards will reflect the overall strategy of the Middle East moving forward. Both sides are in a “Catch 22” scenario and the outcome is any one’s guess. Keep watching and above all learning.

The “Whole World is Watching” and you should be too. Take advantage of the public’s reaction to fear and loathing and be prepared for whatever may arise. Today you saw a bit of the upside down world we live in. LinkedIn commentary was all over the board. Those with historical backgrounds were pretty accurate; we have seen this situation in the past. Those just wishing and praying, hoping and more are buying into the fact we “shall overcome”; we will, just don’t know how, where or when. Otherwise everything is predictable, right? Be well.
