Face it, this is the only world we know and chances are, despite the problems we have created, chances are the earth is going to continue “spinning” on its axis as it revolves around the sun.
That does not mean that “change” will happen. In all of my 55+ years I have personally witnessed many investment cycles, historical events and more. Unfortunately only two heads at the Federal Reserve had the cajones to do the “right” thing, Paul Volcker and now Jerome Powell. Volcker had a much easier ‘pathway’ as (1) the world surrounding his endeavors was far less complicated, (2) he had a “cooperative” administration and (3) gold and alternative currencies were far less important in the overall result.
The next time you criticize Jerome Powell take this into consideration. While many of you believe interest rates need to come down now, Powell has rules he’ll follow before taking said action. Sure it is a “political year” but so far he’s stuck to his guns. Give a little credit where it’s due. We didn’t create the problems he faces out of thin air. The fact is that it took years to create these fiscal problems and it’s going to take longer to fix tem. Give him time.
It’s time to look at what’s happening next week. It’s also time to tell you a little bit of what we’re rolling out at The Ticker before we switch to our weekly “paid” article. I’m a very “patient” person. Everything comes to those that wait as long as they work like hell while they are waiting. About a year ago we kicked off this Substack site. Posting more than 250 articles has been my pleasure. Being an active participant on LinkedIn has been great as well as thousands of people follow on both sites. Publishing a book titled “The Ticker’s Bible” was the start to realizing people learn differently than me. Few read today so we created a three-part informational course based on “foundation, the bricks and the mortar” that holds it all together. That was a good start but it just was not enough. Enter The Ticker, what we’re putting together and why.
We knew we had to develop a site to teach from. That was the easy part. Deciding how to bring everyone to it took time. To accomplish our goals we created an introductory platform known as The Ticker. While it’s been a great success we wanted to do more. With that in mind we created The Ticker Free Community where you can participate in a way designed for you to become the “best damn trader or investor” possible. Most of our posts here on Substack and on LinkedIn are written from ”five miles” up. Many of you want to know what’s happening “right now” and with useful, regular posts The Ticker Free Community accomplishes just that. You’ll be receiving an invitation from one of us in the near future so be patient. Remember, Rome was not built in a day.
