In the past I’ve taken Clement C. Moore’s poem, “Twas The Night Before Christmas” and made it my own. After all, at heart I’m a very sarcastic individual but things are a bit different this year.
I’m 68 and I hear it’s time to give back. OK, I’m doing that on Substack and LinkedIn so far, with a book, ‘The Ticker’s Bible” and several courses on Udemy set to hit early next year. That’s enough, right? To a degree yes but more so it’s just a start.
I’ve alluded to my better half quite often. Being a “two-time” happily divorced person, the last thing I expected was to find my soul mate later in life. Well, I did and certainly that’s something to be thankful for. The fact that she has three sons makes it better so again, thanks; I’m a lucky man, but there’s more.
I’m thankful for you, all of you, for adopting what I preach. Face it, there’s many styles of investing out there and I should know; I read and listen to everyone. There is not a day that goes by that someone isn’t trying to sell me something on LinkedIn. There’s a couple that are interesting and you’re going to hear about them next year after I have had a chance to “kick the tires”. I didn’t stay in this industry for 55+ years and not look at everything and anything changing. I practice what I preach and you should too.
Keep those ideas flowing folks and enjoy the time you have with family, friends even a few enemies this weekend and coming week. 2024 is right around the corner. Best to all for a happy holiday season and a happy, healthy new year. After all, if you have your health you have everything.
Perry Como had a way with “song” and also a way with “words”. In this rendition of Clement C. Moore’s poem, “Twas The Night Before Christmas”, Perry brings to light the miracle of Christmas. It’s a wonderful time regardless of your religious beliefs so sit back and enjoy your time with family and friends; leave the world behind. My best to you all for a happy holiday season and a happy, healthy new year.
