When you have been alive as long as I have, there are certain events that just change your life and perception of what this world we live in is all about. On March 7, 1965, police, state troopers, and a citizen “ posse ” violently attacked civil rights marchers attempting to cross the “Edmund Pettus Bridge” in Selma, Alabama. More than 15 marchers were hospitalized for injuries suffered in an event now known as “ Bloody Sunday.” It changed the way everyone perceived the world. It should have and events of this nature cannot ever be forgotten.

They are becoming more common than not.
