It’s a wonderful weekend down here in Texas. I hope you are enjoying your weekend as much as I am. It’s perfect weather down here to do some yardwork, get a few newer plants, trees and bushes into the ground and simply be thankful for what we all have in the Lone Star State; freedom.
This is far from a homogeneous state. Depending upon where you live it can range a great deal from conservative to liberal with everything in between, even the extremes are well represented. We have immigrants streaming over our borders daily, some stay and others head north. Some just filter into our society with plans of their own. Those are the ones we should all worry about but our current administration deals with it in a slightly different manner; they just don’t care.
Alfred E. Neuman didn’t care; why should we? Have any of you watched, seen what’s happening around the world? I read about it daily. I listen to how it’s reported on fake and what I consider real news. They’re not teaching you “how to think” in universities today, they’re teaching you “what to think” and it’s showing up worldwide. That’s a lot to listen to and be aware of. Good thing my investment style is long term in nature. If I had to apply a word to define it, that word would be “boring”. I like it. I’ve practiced this style for years. I’m a hedger, happy to take my “piece” out of “major movements” while protecting what’s mine. It works folks. I’m not trying to teach you that there is a better way for fun.
That doesn’t mean I’m not constantly looking for others, the HFT, day, scalp and even the swing traders. I’ve found but a few. Like anything else I consider, it’s no easy task to “pierce my radar” especially when I’m going to introduce them to you. Chances are they will be part of “Book V: A Little Help From Friends” so there’s time. Book One is out on Kindle and its dust cover, hard back version should be out before Christmas. It is a work of art including both a glossary and an index. It’s also a major task I do not suggest anyone without experience do.
In any case, if you are signed up as a “paying” subscriber on Substack and you live in the contiguous forty-eight states when it’s available you’re going to receive a signed copy in the mail. Such a deal and it is so sign up and find out. It’s a weekend folks and I have a few ideas for you from what I’ve learned and positions I’m holding and look to watch and adjust. That’s all in the next part, the “paid for” part so join in; it’s well worth your while. Sign up at $9.99 a month, first month is free. It’s well worth it.
