But first, I want to wish a Happy Birthday to my best ‘Canadian’ friend who changed my life for the better almost ten years ago. Her Mom was smart, she was born on the day after April Fools and that made sense. Happy Birthday tomorrow and may many more be in store for you and again, thanks.
So it’s April Fools Day. Some of the best business start-ups i’ve ever been involved in started today. Although I possess the “high tech” ability to do much more my start-up businesses have been centered in the service industries. The Ticker is no different. In April of last year I started to post in this thread. About 250 posts later, followed by tens of thousands of readers, we reach a milestone and it’s all because of you, thanks.
I’ll turn 69-years of age this coming Saturday. I view that as an accomplishment. I’m a very lucky person. I have never been happier, more surrounded by love and admiration by those around me and more. As I say, I’m a lucky man. What I thought would come to fruition more quickly has taken the entire last year to happen. Although it’s almost complete, this is April Fools Day so it’s time to be official, welcome to Ticker EDU.
Welcome To Ticker EDU
Did you ever see “Man of LaMancha” that featured Don Quixote, a man on a quest. He might have been a bit deranged but it comes with the territory. So am I. Face it folks, I don’t know of anyone who is interested in teaching ‘everyone’ how to invest and trade the “right way” employing their 55+ years of experience. It was a daunting task but it has just about come to fruition. Here’s what we came up with.
First, I wrote a book, “The Ticker’s Bible” that took far longer than I thought it would. I discovered however that people did not want to read a 400+ page manuscript. I get it so we converted the book into a three part course beginning with the “Fundamentals”.
Everyone needs a very strong basis for what they are embarking upon, especially when it comes to the securities industry. From ‘emotional intelligence’ to ‘macroeconomics’, from ‘geopolitics’ to ‘geoeconomics’ we forged a pathway to success. Adding in a real segment of ‘What Happens If’ made sense but that was not enough so I added more. I conclude this section with a series of ‘What I Use & How I Use It’ and a snippet of the “Rules” followed for good measure. OK, that a great start.
I was time to turn to the second course, the ‘Bricks”. After the foundation was laid the bricks, equities, bonds, futures, mutual funds & ETFs and options, were next. It just made sense to me that those interested in becoming the best investors or traders they could possibly be needed to understand the basics that existed. It’s a great way to get started on a definitional basis but face it, assembling 55+ years of experience in a way that fits everyone isn’t easy. With that in mind we’ve created ‘1-on-1’ tutorials. They have been a hit and we’ll be happy to put one together for you, just ask.
Now we are finishing the initial rollout with an upcoming third course titled “Mortar’ for good reason. Mortar is used to hold the bricks together on a sturdy foundation. In this section we discuss derivatives, modern game theory, portfolio management and a more enlightened discussion about options. To achieve total balance different trading styles are incorporated as not everyone is a position trader and hedger like I am.
So What’s Next
I love what’s next because of what you, our followers have told me you want. we are in the initial stages of developing The Ticker’s Library & Webinar Series. It too far more than one day to build Rome and we’re still building. Our Library & Webinar series will do just that. It gives our clientele a little bit more, directly from the ‘horse’s mouth’ so a time allows you can read and take in more.
In any case, we certainly have enough of a presence to ‘go public’ with The Ticker and our introductory offer. To get it all, an electronic copy of “The Ticker’s Bible”, access to all three courses, Substack, LinkedIn, our Community and our upcoming Library & Webinar series an introductory price of $247.00 is more than fair. You get a total value in excess of what you pay and it’s a lifetime deal. Learn at your own pace, email us as you see fit and more, learn how to become the ‘best damn trader or investor’ you can possibly be the ‘right way’.
If you have any questions email me and I’ll get right back to you. Now it’s time for me to finish off this ‘labor of love’ and complete ‘Mortar”, the third course and create our Library & Webinar series. Take advantage of our introductory price of $247.00 because when everything is complete the overall price is headed higher. For those of you who are paid Substack members, the introductory price will be reduced to offset what you have paid to date.
So come one and come all. It’s April Fools Day folks and this is not a practical joke. It is time to get started for real and that’s exactly what we are doing but again, we could not do it without your guidance and opinions, thanks.
Like Anthony Newley sang in one of the first Broadway plays I ever witnessed in 1961, “Stop The World I Want To Get Off” is an accurate depiction. “Once In A Lifetime” is a masterpiece as is every song from the play. This one has a special meaning. Face it, we all live once so the impression we make on others is important. Giving back what’s in our experience is important. Being able to assemble this experience in a way that others can benefit is a task. We hope you enjoy the product of our work and jump on board. After all, you seldom get too many chances like this to learn the ‘right way’. It comes “once in a lifetime” so take advantage of it.
